AeroStratus solves the logistics and technology problem of obtaining and exporting aerial data. For a mining company that means your team decides what it needs to see from the air, and we put together everything required to capture it over a large, remote site and deliver it into your systems. Since 2021, more than 500 missions executed and a 100% delivery rate on committed datasets.

Who is this for?

  • Mining companies whose geology, planning or operations teams already work with aerial data and want the capture solved, not a finished survey.
  • Exploration companies and their geophysics contractors that bring their own sensor and need the operation in Chile.
  • Mining-technology and analytics providers that deliver their product to mines and need recurring aerial data behind it.

How does it work?

It is the same model we have run since 2021 for our reference client. You define the data and use it in your own process. We solve the rest. That starts well before the aircraft takes off. A certified Chilean operator and its crew, selected for your sensor and your terrain. Flight permits, and access to the site and to restricted or border areas. A mobile operations base with its own servers and connectivity, deployed next to the mine. Qualified people on the ground to install the sensor, run the base and check every flown line. Ground logistics for the equipment, housing and transport for the crews. Then capture, quality control on site, and delivery into your systems, with export documentation when the data leaves Chile.

Your company keeps no aircraft, no aviation staff and no field infrastructure. It stays asset-light, and it can scale the program up or pause it with each work order.

Why from the air, and why with an aircraft?

Mining concessions in Chile cover large, high and remote areas where ground access is slow or unsafe. A manned aircraft covers hundreds of square kilometres per flight and carries sensors that do not fit on a drone. For companies arriving from abroad, it is also the fastest way to start working in a new Latin American market without building a local operation first.

Since 2021 we have solved the aerial data operation in Chile for a US analytics company that defines its own data, flies its own sensors and runs its own processing pipeline. The same model applies to a mine.

Questions mining teams ask us

Who defines what data is captured?

You do. Your geology, planning or operations team defines the area, the resolution, the sensor and the cadence, and uses the data in its own process. We solve everything needed to obtain that data and get it into your systems.

Can we use our own sensor or our survey contractor?

Yes. Your sensor, or the one your geophysics or survey contractor brings, goes into the aircraft of a certified Chilean operator, and we build the operation around it. If the job only needs high-resolution imagery, we coordinate the camera as well.

What happens at a remote site with no connectivity?

We deploy a mobile operations base with its own connectivity next to the site. The data is checked, backed up and transferred from there, so your team does not wait for the crew to return to a city to know whether the capture is complete.

Do we need to buy aircraft or hire an aviation team?

No. The certified operators, the crews, the permits and the field logistics are part of what we solve. Your company keeps no aeronautical assets and no aviation staff, and can grow or pause the program with each work order.

How is it quoted?

Per project, in US dollars, on terms agreed case by case. A single campaign runs under a work order, and recurring programs under an annual master agreement.
