How a mission works

  1. Scoping call. Area, ground resolution, data products, format, timing and cadence. You get a formal quote in US dollars.
  2. Flight plan and permits. We design flight lines and overlap for your goal and coordinate a certified local operator.
  3. Capture. The operator flies your area while our team runs the sensors and the mobile base, watching coverage in real time.
  4. Processing and quality control. Orientation, ground control where the project requires it, product generation and validation, on site.
  5. Delivery. Analysis-ready datasets into your systems, with one mission identifier that ties the flight, the technical record and the invoice together.

Two ways to work with us

  • Single mission. One scoped capture under a work order. Priced per flight hour plus a fixed mission fee, in US dollars. The usual first step.
  • Annual data program. A master agreement with work orders per mission, for teams that need recurring coverage. Same pricing logic, with the planning done once for the year.

There is no minimum contract size. We scope the project in a single call.

Since 2021 we have run the aerial operations for a US agricultural-analytics AI company, mission after mission. The client runs its own sensors and its own processing pipeline. We run flight coordination, the mobile operations base, connectivity and field IT. More than 2,500 flight hours coordinated, with a 100% delivery rate on committed datasets.

Questions we get asked

Do you work with companies outside Chile?

Yes. AeroStratus is a 100% export services company. Our clients are technology companies, mostly in the United States and Europe, and we bill in US dollars. The missions take place in Chile and Spain, where we coordinate certified local aircraft operators, and we have coordinated missions in Argentina and Mexico.

Do you fly the aircraft yourselves?

No. Certified local aircraft operators and their pilots fly. AeroStratus plans the mission, obtains the permits, coordinates the operator, runs the sensors and the mobile operations base, processes the data and delivers it. You never deal with aviation logistics.

How much area can one mission cover?

A manned aircraft covers hundreds of square kilometres per flight, with hours of endurance. A drone covers hectares per battery cycle and must stay within line of sight. That is why regional-scale projects are flown with aircraft.

Can you deliver the data straight into our pipeline?

Yes. We deliver processed, validated datasets in your format and reference system, to your cloud, servers or systems. Each mission carries one identifier that links the flight, the technical record and the invoice, so provenance is documented.

What sensors do you use?

High-resolution cameras for nadir and oblique imagery, processed with photogrammetry into orthophotos, elevation models, 3D models and point clouds. If your product depends on your own sensor, we integrate it into the aircraft and the mission, which is how we work with our reference client.
